If you thought sat-nav devices were aimed solely at people too lazy or stupid to read conventional maps, the Mio H610 might change your mind. Designed especially for women, this practical but fashionable gadget aims to take GPS out of the car and into the handbag (or worn around the neck).

It's equipped with a 2.7in colour touch-screen and offers full GPS and multimedia functionality, including maps of 24 European countries and over 1.8 million points of interest. Additionally, the H610 provides information on weather, currency conversion, measurements, dialling codes and even clothing size conversions to take the stress out of travelling to an unknown destination and enable more effective shopping abroad. It features 1GB of storage for audio, video and image files, which can be expanded further with an SD memory card.
